Knauf Fireshield is specifically developed for high performance lining and encasement applications, offering an impressive set of technical characteristics to meet the most stringent performance requirements likely to be encountered in any building type or location. The system available is ideal for encasement of columns, beams and associated steelwork.

Knauf Shaftwall and Firefighting Shaftwall are non-loadbearing systems comprising Knauf Plasterboards screw-fixed to a steel frame made up of special profile studs and channels.

They offer a major advantage in lift and service shaft construction because installation work can be carried out from the floor side only, avoiding the need for costly scaffolding within the shaft. Room facing surfaces can be taped and jointed to provide a seamless finish or skim plastered for a more traditional finish prior to decoration.
Boards facing into the lift or service shafts do not require finishing.
